MiroTeach

What is it?

You already use Miro. Your students or your workshop guests are on the board, the sticky notes are flying, the energy is there. But then you spend three minutes hunting for the right frame, a participant can’t find their group board, and your carefully prepared content can’t easily be used because you just can’t get to it effectively.

MiroTeach fixes all of that. It lives quietly in your Miro toolbar and comes alive when you need it.

One app – many features

  • Stamp QR code. With one mouseclick this will be a QR code onto your board, either with the URL to your board or else any other text you want.
  • Table of Contents. Select frames or objects or both – and with one mouseclick you’ll have an attractive Table of Contents frame that contains hyperlinks to everything you’ve selected.
  • Global Recolor. Ever wanted to change the color of things – everywhere – at once? Global Recolor let’s you do this!
  • Global Search and Replace. This a no-brainer and it’s strange Miro never offered this from the beginning.
  • Viewport Manager. You can select different areas of your board and then store them. Later, such as during a workshop, you can jump from pre-defined area to area with just a mouseclick.
  • Hidden Notes. Did you know you can hide notes inside of a Miro board, so that nobody can see them? This let’s you do that!
  • Board Navigator. This shows you everything on your board in one friendly box, and you can jump anywhere you like.
  • Prompt Builder. Sometimes you want to get information out of your board into a format such as markdown or JSON, so you can hand it off to your favorite LLM. This lets you do that!

How it works

This app uses the Miro Web SDK.

Data Protection: Your data stays yours. Full stop.

In an era where every app seems to want a piece of your data, MiroTeach takes the opposite position. MiroTeach is stateless by design: it holds no database, runs no backend, and stores no personal information about you, your students, or your institution. No logs, no profiles, no silent accumulation of data on a server somewhere. No data whatsoever is stored. For educators working under GDPR, Swiss data protection law, or business people with institutional privacy policies, this is not a compliance checkbox. It is the architecture. What happens on your board stays on your board.

MiroTeach does not change how you use Miro. It removes everything that gets in the way of it.
